This is Pelin. This is Jo. And a bump – a girl!
Pelin and Jo were so relaxed and easy going! Pelin already knew that she wanted a casual photo session, pictures to remember who they were before their daughter’s birth. When she used the words “curled up, “couch” and “cup of coffee” I was already in love with the pictures before I started snapping away!
And the pickle obsession? Yes!!!!!!

So… what really happened?
Tell us a little about why you decided to do a photo session?
We waited a long time for this baby and we wanted to immortalize our happiness and this blessing.
Where was your session held and why?
In our apartment. We did not want to pose but rather be captured in the comfort of our home, doing everyday things. We really wanted to reflect “us today” rather than “us in weird, uncomfortable poses”.
What was your biggest fear (or worry) before hiring Nicole? Did it come true, and if not, what happened instead?
My husband hates photoshoots, so I was really nervous that he would not be able to relax. Also nervous about the natural light, but we were so lucky with the weather that day. In the end, we both loved the whole experience. It all turned out so well because of Nicole’s preparation: initial contact/discussion via e-mail and phone, visiting the apt to check the lighting and space, discussing clothing options and ideas. We really appreciate the time that Nicole invested in this preparation which led to a smooth and relaxing shoot.
What advice would you give other families?
Check Nicole’s work on her website and blog, think about the kind of pictures you want and take your time to discuss this with Nicole. She will be all ears and will have great suggestions.
